The Stranger
Tappy is trapped beneath a tarpaulin, but the trail — and a ticket — may lead to answers.

The stranger looks at you for a moment.
TappyThe trail keeps going. Through the yard, then out past the old machinery.
They glance down at themselves and give the tarpaulin a doubtful look.
TappyAnd yes. I’m free enough.
A pause.
TappyAssuming the tarpaulin agrees.
They work one edge loose and finally wriggle clear.
TappyYou’ve got a ticket, then?
They look at you a little differently now.
TappyMaybe you’re closer to the answer than I thought.
