Eric is an earthworm trying to make sense of a world that seems determined to get stranger. He's curious and friendly, and tends to meet things with optimism—even when he probably ought to be more concerned.

Curious. Friendly. Generally optimistic. Taking it remarkably well.
Eric woke up in a scrapyard. He doesn't know where he is, where Nigel is, or what happened last night. By most standards, this is a fairly alarming start to the day. Eric is coping surprisingly well.
WHERE HIS STORY BEGINS
The Morning After. Eric wakes among old tyres, scrap metal and unfamiliar things at the High Scraparral. Something nearby is breathing. Another worm is asleep. Nigel is missing.
Eric investigates carefully, notices the breathing, and decides not to be the first thing it has for breakfast. Then he waits.
WHAT HE KNOWS
- He has woken up in a scrapyard.
- He cannot account for everything that happened the night before.
- Nigel is missing, and finding out what happened matters.
- There are memories and clues still to piece together.
THE IMPORTANT THING
This is Eric's story, but Eric is discovering it as it happens too. The answers aren't all known yet—not even to him.
